There are a lot of ways to take your kids on days out.
One of the main things that most parents want to achieve through this is for the experience to be educational in some way or another, and the truth is that this is relatively easy to achieve. As long as you are keen to do that, it’s something you should be able to do relatively simply.
In this article, we are going to go through just a few examples of the kinds of days out you can have with your kids which are going to be somewhat educational for them.
Eden Project
This is the world’s largest indoor rainforest, and it’s a truly remarkable place that everyone should see at least once.
Located in Devon, it is a great place for a family day trip, and when it comes to being educational it really does tick the box there. In fact, you and your kids will be able to learn a huge amount about flora and fauna as well as all sorts of animals, and you’ll probably find that your children are genuinely amazed at the experience.
There’s also just nothing quite like walking around in an indoor rainforest!
Tower Of London
If you want to take your family for a historical tour, then the Tower of London is one of the very best choices for that.
You can see where people used to get locked up for treason, which is something that younger kids especially always like to see. And you can of course see the crown jewels too, which is a memory-making sight that you will definitely be glad to have seen.
All in all, it’s a great family day out, and one that you should be sure not to overlook, especially if you are in London anyway.
Windsor Castle
Just outside of London you also have this other royal historical site. As well as being a great place for a tour, you can tell your kids that you are visiting a genuine royal residence.
Plus, if you manage to book your Windsor Castle tickets early enough, you can get a family tour ticket for quite an affordable price, making it an easy and affordable way to spend time with the kids.
It’s a great one-day trip and one that you should certainly be sure not to overlook if you can help it.
Jodrell Bank
Perhaps, however, you would rather get your kids interested in science and the stars.
If so, you will want to consider seriously taking them to Jodrell Bank. This is an observatory and telescope near Manchester, and it’s an amazing sight to behold. You can take a tour there any time of the year, or you can go when the Bluedot festival is on to go to a whole range of science and space talks.
It’s a great adventure to have, either way, and one that is going to be wonderful for you to experience with your family.
