When it comes to your fashion sense, it may seem like you have to stay up with the trends always. Fashion trends changed very quickly, so you can imagine watching the fashion weeks and all of the different changes in clothing. You’re going to have to keep your wallet going so that you don’t succumb to too much pressure

As women, we have been restricted in our style choices for decades, from shoes that angle the feet to corsets that stop us from breathing.

But we’re lucky enough today to have more choice and a lot more women in power when it comes to fashion.

The narrative for fashion shows is that you have to sacrifice your comfort when you want to look fashionable, but it’s really not the case.

For example, Johnny Was tunics are beautiful, fashionable and comfortable all at once! You don’t have to worry about corset lines that squeeze your ribs or itchy waistlines or difficult shoes that you can break your ankles in.If you’re not convinced, here is why you should choose comfort over style. Always.

  • You’re going to feel far more confident. It’s nice to be fashionable and on trend, and maybe some of your confidence can come from that, but comfort always pushes that confidence first. Wearing something trendy that you wouldn’t typically wear but you couldn’t resist buying because an influence on Instagram told you that you needed it is one thing, but feeling comfortable while you’re out and about wearing it is completely another. If you’re not somebody who likes to wear dresses, then it’s always going to feel like you’re out of your comfort zone to wear them. Of course, you still might wear them anyway, because who doesn’t want to wear them and build their comfort? However, comfort pertains to feeling the fabric and enjoying the movement of the clothing on your skin.
  • You’ll be in a far better mood. As in every situation, if you are uncomfortable physically, you’re going to feel uncomfortable mentally and you’re going to feel self-conscious. If you’re going to prioritize comfort over style, you’re going to feel fantastic all the time. Wearing wedges over heels still gives you height, but you might feel like your heels are comfortable in them. Wearing skinny jeans and not leather pants will still make you feel comfortable and give you the same look. You should never force yourself to wear something you’re going to feel abjectly can’t uncomfortable in.
  • You haven’t wasted your money. Nobody wants to spend money on clothing that they’re going to hate wearing. If you’re choosing comfort over style, you’ll know you’re going to feel comfortable as you move in the clothing that you’ve chosen. You don’t want to miss out on all the fun by being distracted and self conscious of the way that you feel and you don’t have to be. If you make comfort your priority you’ll be able to wear what you want to wear and feel good about it while you do.
